PEACH 'LUSCIOUS' PIE


This recipe comes from the Farmer's Almanac.  There was no picture so if you make it, do send me the picture to use in this recipe!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 8 cups peeled, sliced peaches (about 6 large)
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine


INSTRUCTIONS:
Place peaches in a 2-quart ovenproof casserole about 3 inches deep. In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt; cut in butter, using two knives or a pastry blender, as for a piecrust. Sprinkle mixture over peaches. Bake 45 minutes to 1 hour at 350 degrees F, until peaches are cooked through and topping is deep down.
