This recipe is a variant of "Turnips Anna" from New Basics Cook Book
Ingredients:
1 kohlrabi, peeled and sliced very thinkly
1 shallot pelled and mnced
2 Tbls butter or spread
Coarse salt and freshly ground pepper
Preparation:
Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.
Melt the butter in a skillet and saute the kohlrabi until coated in butter and partially cooked, about three minutes.
In an 8" round non-stick cake pan, arrange a layer of overlapping kohlrabi slices. Srinkle with some of the shallot and salt and pepper. Repeat with the remaining ingredients, ending with a layer of kohlrabi.
Bake until crisp and golden, about 30 minutes.
Note: The recipe is for one small 3-4" kohlrabi and will be just right for two people.
