Grilled Peaches

Good Evening:

Last night I had a crowd for supper (family birthdays).  My mother-in-law made her traditional German Chocolate Cake and I decided to use my peaches,  Here's what I did:

  • Halve each peach and remove the pit
  • Sprinkle with Fruit Fresh  ( Ball® Fruit-Fresh® Produce Protector prevents browning of fresh-cut produce for up to 8 hours. Just sprinkle on your freshly-cut fruit or veggies and protect the color and flavor)

  • When ready to cook, heat your grill and give it a good brush to remove any other food that may have been left when last used.
  • Place peaches cut side down on the grill.
  • Grill on low or indirect heat until soft, about 2-4 minutes on each side.
  • I placed a small saucepan on the grill with honey from our share in it.  I also added a vanilla pod  (Make sure your handle is not over the flame).
  • When peaches are finished drizzle with honey and serve.

These are not my peaches but they looked a lot like this
