Corn like they do it in Southern Indiana
Hi guys!
A member emailed me the following & asked that I forward it on the the blog... so, here you go:
In the present day, it seems everyone wants to have super sweet corn, but I'm an oldtimer and miss the corn I grew up on in Southern Indiana. We had lots of corn on the cob, but every summer Sunday we had corn off the cob. Just cook a few slices of chopped bacon, cook it crisp but not too browned. Cut corn off the cob (don't cut into the cob, but do scrape the cob after cutting it of.) Add a good chunk of butter, salt and fresh ground pepper, cook 3-4 minutes and enjoy.
